National holidays.

Resultado de imagen para junta nacional de gobiernoWelcome back to another friday´s blog, finally the 18th of september is here!!!, if you don´t know the 18th of september here in Chile we celebrate the anniversary of the first governing board (september 18th of 1810), one of the first steps to be independent, we don´t celebrate our independence as to much people think (even chileans). The independence treaty in Chile was signed the febrary  twelfth of 1818. In this dates i remeber when i was in primary school and we have to do a folder with the history of Chile EVERY YEAR, can you imagine that the teachers send you the same homework every year?, that was so boring, but we don´t have option.

Resultado de imagen para 18 de septiembreFor some people this is the best date of Chile ´cause we have a lot of free days for celebrate (yeahh partyy!!) and also chileans really like that things (well, who does not?). Of course in this dates the people can drinks a lot of alcohol  with the reason of celebrate them country and obviously for the same reason we create some drinks that we just prepare in this dates, the most famous called "terremoto" this is a mix of pineapple ice cream, pipeño and ron or pisco. Also we have typical food like empanada, meat brochette, choripan, etc. Personally  i think that this is the worst date for vegetarians ´cause everything have meat.

We have some typical games too, like palo encebado in this game you have to climb up a very high trunck slippery, sack-race, trompo, pick up volantin and some else.

Resultado de imagen para 18 de septiembreThe thing that i like the most in this date is the dance, in the school we have to dance every year a traditional dance of Chile, it could be from the north, center or south, but the most representative called "cueca" and the dresses are so beautiful, personally i prefer the elegant huasa.
